What’s it Like?
This is a hotel where you just want to sit on the terrace – Negroni in hand and stay forever.
It’s an opinion shared by many over the years, especially those who penned hand-written love letters that were discovered in a bundle tied with a red ribbon, hidden behind the wallpaper.

Opened in 1910 it is now owned by the De Santis family with daughter, Valentina de Santis at the helm as CEO.
There’s lots of exciting news on the dining front with the launch Lake Como’s very first lakeside fish restaurant, Giacomo al Lago.
The hotel has partnered with the iconic family-run restaurant – Giacomo Milano which will overlook the glistening lake and neighbouring village of Bellagio.

A Perfect Match
Giacomo Milano is a world-renowned restaurant steeped in history and family tradition, much like Grand Hotel Tremezzo.
Giacomo Bulleri first opened his restaurant in Milan in 1958, focusing on outstanding quality and care, a warm and curated atmosphere and Italian culinary tradition.
The creation of Giacomo al Lago is a great story of two families meeting: the De Santis family – hoteliers for generations offering the most authentic Italian hospitality – and the third generation of the culinary dynasty behind the Giacomo Group, reflecting Italian traditions and quality of the Milanese restaurant scene.
The menu celebrates the freshest fish and seafood, from the red prawns of Mazara del Vallo, an impressive selection of fresh oysters, King Crab, lobster, sea bream and snapper.
Giacomo al Lago will be open for lunch and dinner on Grand Hotel Tremezzo’s newly opened T Beach, Lake Como’s first waterside “beach club” combining a chic, vintage Italian lido concept with a burst of contemporary glamour.

There’s an elegant sandy beach lined with stylish sun loungers and shades, all framing the hotel’s famous floating swimming pool.

The Background
The Grand Hotel Tremezzo is set in an elegant Art Nouveau palazzo surrounded by a private park and offering spectacular views over the lake and Grigne Mountains from its 90 rooms.
The beautiful TSpa
Some of Italy’s very finest gastronomy can be found in its five restaurants and, for lakeside relaxation, there are three swimming pools, as well as the gorgeous T Spa, offering intimate private treatment rooms and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the beauty of the Lake Como landscape.
Dining is an adventure with modern Italian cuisine master Gualtiero Marchesi and executive chef Osvaldo Presazzi creating outstanding dishes such as risotto with saffron and gold leaf that stars in the degustation menu at La Terrazza, where Greta Garbo frequented.
The L’Escale Trattoria and Wine Bar offers more Italian favourites, classic fondue and a cellar of 1300 best drops.
