A white wedding in Antarctica is sure to set an exciting tone for married life. And it sure is a very different destination for your wedding.
A stunning white wedding was just celebrated on Wildfoot Travel’s Akademik Loffe expedition in Antarctica. Conny Bartl, part of the team who runs Hebridean Sky & Island Sky with Wildfoot Travel, was lucky enough to be on-board the expedition with the happy couple.
“What a privilege to feel part of this intimate experience and to share not just the ceremony but the incredible natural world. I found it very spiritual and very much inclusive, as did my fellow passengers,” she says.
This most recent wedding isn’t the first time Wildfoot Travel have seen a couple wed on one of their Antarctica expeditions.
Everything you could wish for at a breath-taking winter wedding is included on an Antarctic expedition wedding, with a dramatic snow-capped backdrop for your venue, a photographer on board, fine dining catering provided, and a blessing performed by the Polar Captain. Simon Rowland, Owner at Wildfoot Travel, says, “Our Antarctic expeditions are an experience you will never forget, and so is your wedding day, so what a fabulous idea to combine the two.
“We are absolutely delighted to be able to assist our travellers in planning their perfect wedding day on-board one of our expeditions, and we can’t wait for more expedition weddings in future,” he says.
