Every two years, Cirque du Soleil brings joy to thousands of Australians with their evocative, emotive and unbelieveable athleticism all wrapped up in a magnificent touring show under the Grand Chapiteau – or Big Top.
This year’s show is Totem, which traces the fascinating journey of the human species from its original amphibian state to its ultimate desire to fly. The characters evolve on a stage evoking a giant turtle, the symbol of origin for many ancient civilisations.
Since its World Premiere in 2010, more than two million have been mesmerised by the intimacy and beauty of Totem, which has a cast of 46 acrobats, actors, musicians and singers.
