A new premium suite and a dedicated spa – that’s what is in store for guests at Longitude 131° at Uluru.
Architect Max Pritchard – the designer of Baillie Lodges’ award-winning Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island – will next year introduce the new facilities while at the same time redeveloping its central Dune House in a $6 million project.
The enhancements will complement the extensive improvements already completed at Longitude 131° since Baillie Lodges took over operations in 2013, including the refurbishmentof its 15 tented pavilions and this year’s addition of private balconies overlooking Uluru.
Work will take place in mid-2017 and are expected to be completed in the second half of the year.
They will include the new premium suite, the Dune Pavilion, designed to offer the ultimate in desert luxury.Positioned discretely away from other pavilions, it will be the first accommodation to offer views of both Uluru and nearby Kata Tjuta.
It will feature expansive glass walls, exterior decks, separate living and sleeping areas and a private plunge pool.
