A weekend of delicious dining and indulging in prestige champagnes from revered houses Dom Pérignon, Moët & Chandon, along with a dash of Glenmorangie Signet, will be held at the lodge from June 14 to 16 2019.
Guests will taste some of the champagne houses’ new releases, paired with a curated five-course tasting menu by renowned Chef James Honore. Champagne ambassador and host Nicola Clay will share insights into the various vintages.
Celebrated Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky distillery, Glenmorangie will be another highlight.
Glenmorangie Signet is considered the pinnacle of the Highland Single Malt range and is the world’s first whiskey to be created with a high roast ‘chocolate’ malt barley, coaxing out palpable coffee and butterscotch notes.
Kick off the Weekend.
The weekend of indulgence starts on the Friday with a welcome reception with hors d’oeuvres enjoyed alongside the fresh, aperitif style 2006 vintage Cloudy Bay Pelorus, poured from a magnum. An a la carte dinner will follow.
Relax and Enjoy
Saturday is time to enjoy a day of activities and relaxation at The Farm at Cape Kidnappers where guests will find an award-winning golf course, private spa treatments, wine tasting in Hawke’s Bay and farm walks.
The night will see a perfect line-up of vintage champagne from Moët & Chandon including Dom Pérignon with Glenmorangie Signet to finish the night, each carefully matched to each course.
Some of the vintages include Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2012 known for its maturity, complexity and charisma, Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Rose 2009 and Dom Pérignon Vintage 2008.
Dessert will be crafted to match the Single Malt’s three distinct flavours of dark chocolate, espresso and mandarin.
Event tariff is NZ$1,800+ 15% GST per person, based on double occupancy and includes:
- Two nights’ luxury suite accommodation at The Farm at Cape Kidnappers
- Pre-dinner drinks and canapés, daily full breakfast and complimentary non-alcoholic minibar
- Welcome reception aperitif and digestif on Friday night
- Gourmet dinner both nights, with Saturday night’s dinner to be paired with Moët & Chandon and Dom Pérignon champagnes and Glenmorangie Signet
- Guests’ choice of either a day of unlimited green fees OR a 60-minute spa treatment per person
