Spa review – Four Seasons Jackson Hole

Where
Four Seasons Jackson Hole, Teton Village, Wyoming

Setting
Everything about the Four Seasons Jackson Hole is outstanding, from its location slope side at one of the best ski and snowboard resorts in the world, pretty as a picture in Grand Teton National Park, to its accommodation, dining options and facilities. Then there is the Spa. This inviting space, with finishes of stone and wood and Native American touches, offers 16 treatment rooms, including two private spa suites – each with a Swiss shower, fireplace and deep soaking tub. The treatment area also features separate men’s and women’s tranquillity lounges with fireplaces.

Menu
Choose from a range of massages, body treatments, body rituals and facials as well as salon services.

Treatment selected
I select the 80-minute Aroma Quench Body Elixir, starting off with full body brushing to increase circulation, and then I am wrapped in steamy herbal sheets that allow essential oils to condition my skin – dry from air conditioning and the elements. Then, the masseuse – Kolin – delivers an amazing massage, honing in on those gnarly knots and tight muscles with all the aplomb of an Olympic physio. After a week of skiing, this was just what the doctor ordered.

What I loved
There is something special about being warm, relaxed and pampered while outside, the world is blanketed in white and freezing.
